History of Sutton Tools Ireland
Sutton Tools Ireland, previously known as Kildare Tooling Services Ltd, is a leading cutting tool manufacturer and distributor based in Ireland.
Kildare Tooling Services was incorporated in November 1993 as a subsidiary of Fenn Tool Ltd. We were established as a local presence in Kill, Co Kildare, Ireland, to target the Irish engineering sector.
In January 1994, we began the distribution of major international brands such as Maykestag, Kennametal, and Kyocera, to our customers within the medical, pharmaceutical, toolmaking, aerospace, and agriculture industries.
Manufacturing of FETOGA
In 2000, what was our parent company Fenn, now Sutton Tools UK, opened its manufacturing facility to begin production of the FETOGA range of aluminium milling cutters. At Sutton Tools Ireland, we began the distribution of this line of cutters and within the same year, Fenn Tool achieved awards for Product of the Year at the Enquip Exhibition in Dublin, as well as further awards including the Small Business Awards National Winner, and the Manufacturing Industry Achievement Awards – Step Change Award.
Since the opening of the manufacturing facility, Sutton Tools Ireland has been able to expand its product range. We have also expanded our services to fully incorporate the latest FENN products, as well as offer custom tooling solutions to our customers.
In 2020, we also began offering inventory control vend solutions for secure point-of-use tooling storage to our customers.
Sutton Tools Group
Collectively with Fenn Tool, we joined the Sutton Tools group in October of 2022 to expand Sutton Tools’ presence within the European market and to be able to seamlessly offer a broader range of high-quality cutting tools to meet customer demands. This product range includes endmills, drills, countersinks, taps, reamers, tool holding, lubricant, and engineering literature.
Sutton explicitly designs and manufactures their tooling at one of their manufacturing facilities worldwide, with our closest manufacturing facility being in the United Kingdom. Consequently, we acquire and distribute these products with no delays to our usual service.
To accommodate the continuous growth of the company, Sutton Tools Ireland relocated to Crookstown, Co Kildare, in April 2023.
